It included a hackathon where teachers and students with disabilities joined AI innovators to develop product prototypes. The concepts included how AI can help in early identification of learning disabilities and co-designing products for students with disabilities alongside the young people who will be using them. There’s a whole section in the report about AI and Individualized Education Programs for students with disabilities. And then of course, we know that students with disabilities or learning differences also face stigma. Meaning there are certain subgroups, especially for racial and ethnic groups, that are overrepresented in the assessment of learning differences.
