They will specialise in neighbourhood policing, directly working with communities to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour, and aim to build public trust in the force. These officers have completed the initial stage of Police Now's two-year programme, a residential training academy, and will now gain essential frontline experience. They will join response teams before continuing their specialisation in neighbourhood policing. Over the last eight years, Police Now, a Times Top 100 Graduate Employer, has recruited more than 100 officers to Avon and Somerset Police. Their programme allows officers to specialise in various areas, including neighbourhood policing.
