['Jack Roberts']
Burnham and Highbridge Weekly News | News
The app-based Digital Slinky transport scheme is now available in Taunton, Wellington, Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea, and surrounding areas.
It is designed to help people reach key destinations more easily, particularly where traditional bus services are limited.
The digital element of the service, which began operating on Monday, September 15, is funded through the government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).
Cllr Richard Wilkins, Somerset Council’s lead member for transport and waste, said: "In a rural county like ours digital demand responsive transport has the potential to play a much bigger role going forward.
"Digital Slinky is a great alternative, reliable, affordable and easy to book.
