The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) launched new league tables for the health service in early-September, ranking NHS trusts on a range of measures in a bid to boost service quality. The league tables rank NHS trusts on how well they deliver the government's priorities for the health service, including meeting waiting time targets for A&E admissions, ambulance response times and elective operations. She said: "I think actually that staff and patients welcome the league tables - they welcome the transparency. But she said that good performance in the new league tables would in and of itself lead to these improvements being sped up. The NHS Somerset ICB will meet in Yeovil on Thursday morning (September 25) to discuss a range of issues, including an update on Yeovil Hospital's maternity services.
