ABC 57BENTON HARBOR, Ind. -- The public is invited to attend an open house to hear details of the plan to repave and rebuild M-139 from near the St. Joseph River to I-94 Business Loop (BL) (Main Street) in Benton Charter and Sodus townships and the city of Benton Harbor, as well as I-94 BL (Main Street) from Fair Avenue to Butternut Street in Benton Charter Township. The project is planned for 2026-2027 and includes improvements to pavement conditions, safety drainage and public utilities on a total of 4.4 miles of state highway. The open house is on Sept. 23 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Benton Charter Township Hall.
