Mike Braun announced on Tuesday that he remains committed to protecting Hoosiers from unreasonable utility rates and is calling for an entrepreneurial approach to address the issue. Braun named three people to the nominating committee of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, the administrative agency that makes decisions in the public interest to ensure utilities provide safe and reliable service at just and reasonable rates. Braun says with the nominating committee in place, applications are now open for three IURC commissioner vacancies. The nominating committee will then review applicants and forward recommended finalists to Braun.
