"Like all wind farm sites this one was chosen for a range of reasons: it has a good wind resource, it's located on a major highway, it doesn't contain habitat for threatened species, it's located away from airports and telecommunications towers, and it has good setbacks to dwellings which mean levels of shadow flicker and noise will be well below the allowable limits - for example, this project will comply with the high amenity noise limit which is generally reserved for highly sensitive locations like eco-tourism sites," he said.
