By Laurie BaronSAN DIEGO — Donald Trump has issued an executive order to change the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War. Consistent with the establishment of the Department of War, the State Department will be abolished. Once they complete their mission, the Department of Labor will be superfluous since there will no longer be any unemployment. The Departments of Treasury and Commerce will become the Department of Tariffs since tariffs are all that’s needed to make the United States prosperous and promote its exports. *Laurie Baron is professor emeritus of history at San Diego State University.
