This bill was weakened, in part because interest groups who are complicit in K-12 antisemitism have so much influence over our education system. Meanwhile, the ADL reports that in 2023 antisemitic incidents in K-12 schools across the United States increased by 135%. We are proud to be part of the largest coalition of Jewish organizations to ever support a bill in the California state legislature. Going forward, we will continue to use all tools at our disposal to fight antisemitism in K-12 public schools across the state.
