According to Salima Police Spokesperson Rebecca Ndiwate, the incident occurred during a boat trip involving the two men and 14 friends from Lumbadzi, Dowa District. While swimming, Tembenuka reportedly went too far into the lake and was overwhelmed by the waves. Frank’s body was recovered the same day by well-wishers, who rushed him to Sengabay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
