Published on September 23, 2025 at 1:41 PM by Evance KapitoThe Ntcheu First Grade Magistrate’s Court has sentenced 53-year-old Lemison Fredson to 10 years imprisonment with hard labor for defiling his 15-year-old biological daughter. The court, presided over by Senior Resident Magistrate Imran Alley Abu, delivered the verdict on Thursday after hearing compelling evidence from three prosecution witnesses. “The accused entered the victim’s room around 9 PM and coerced her into sexual intercourse,” Khembo told the court. “The convict was in a position of trust as a father but betrayed that trust in the worst way possible,” Abu stated. The convict has been remanded at Ntcheu Prison pending transfer to a designated correctional facility.
