College criticised for not inviting all students in for A Level results day
['Annabel Stock']
The Argus | News
Bhasvic, a sixth form college in Dyke Road, Brighton, celebrated A-level results "well above the national average" this summer.
Rosie Lux mentors a student at Bhasvic through Flourish, a charity which offers mentoring support to young women aged 16-25 years in Brighton and Hove.
The student, who is a young carer from a “disadvantaged background”, was informed by email that Bhasvic was not open for results day and that she would receive her results online.
“The event is not to celebrate 'results' but rather to thank those students that have taken an active role in the BHASVIC community.
“We offer a full online results support service staffed by our expert Careers and Guidance teams for any student needing advice and guidance around their results.”
