Plans to convert floor above bank into flats

The application, presented to Brighton and Hove City Council, proposes to create up to two flats above the Halifax bank at 86-87 George Street, in Hove.

“As such, the scheme is acceptable with regard to neighbouring sources of noise.”The proposed flats would include one and two bedrooms, as well as a bathroom and kitchen/living room space.
The application states that the flats would be primarily lit from windows that face west, towards Haddington Close, with the building also featuring rooflights to ensure adequate lighting.
The application is currently at the consultation stage with more information available under the reference BH2025/02242 on the Brighton and Hove City Council planning portal.
