Barnacle Bill, a loggerhead turtle, had been undergoing a two-year recovery programme at Sea Life Brighton, on Marine Parade, after she was found critically ill off Guernsey’s coastline. Last Thursday (September 18), following a successful recovery, Barnacle Bill was released back into the wild from the Azores in Portugal. The turtle facility at Sea Life Brighton is the UK's first permanent rehabilitation centre dedicated exclusively to sea turtle recovery.
