NILES — A Mercer, Pa., man had his bond set at $100,000 and his case bound over to the Trumbull County grand jury after he was arrested last week after police said they found weapons and explosive devices in his vehicle. According to a Niles police report, an officer spotted Podleyon’s vehicle in the parking lot of the Von Isley Estate on state Route 46. When approached, Podleyon said he was lost and trying to return to Mercer, Pa. The officer noticed a box in the backseat commonly used to store firearms and asked if there were any weapons in the car. Podleyon’s vehicle was towed and four guns were taken as evidence.
