Post Views: 1,641Portland, USA: The Northwest Tibetan Cultural Association (NWTCA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1993, continues its mission to preserve and promote Tibet’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage in the Pacific Northwest, United States. This year, the Tibetan community hosted a vibrant Tibet Day celebration on 13 September 2025, at Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland’s central public gathering space. Guests expressed deep appreciation for the rare opportunity to engage with the richness of Tibetan culture, history, and spiritual philosophy. Tibet Day 2025 received widespread media coverage, including by KGW News (NBC affiliate) and OREGONLIVE – The Oregonian, bringing further visibility to the event and to the Tibetan cause. This event strengthened cross-cultural understanding and honoured the enduring legacy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, fostering compassion and unity across communities.
