Post Views: 2,466Sydney: On 20 September 2025, the Sydney Weekend Tibetan Language and Culture School organised an inter-student quiz competition to commemorate the “Year of Compassion” in honour of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Participants were divided into four groups: the Promotion of Human Values Group, the Promotion of Religious Harmony Group, the Promotion of the Tibetan Cause Group, and the Promotion of Ancient Indian Knowledge Group. The Promotion of Religious Harmony Group won first prize, while the Promotion of Human Values Group secured second place. Teachers and parents attending the event expressed great satisfaction with the students’ overall performance, especially their proficiency in spoken Tibetan. This year’s quiz competition marked the tenth annual event organised by the Sydney Weekend Tibetan Language and Culture School, aimed at promoting and strengthening the Tibetan language and culture among young Tibetans.
