Brooke Weaver, who serves as chief deputy clerk in the Hamilton County Clerk’s Office, has officially announced her candidacy for the position of County Clerk to succeed longtime Clerk Bill Knowles, who announced on Thursday that he would not seek another term Thursday. The Weaver campaign said she has the endorsement of Clerk Knowles. “Brooke Weaver brings a proven record of leadership, accountability, and innovation to her campaign,” said Mr. Knowles. “The County Clerk’s Office has more traffic than any other office in Hamilton County, serving hundreds of citizens each week,” stated Ms. Weaver. “My goal is simple: keep the Clerk’s Office running smoothly from day one and continuing a legacy of service which puts the people of Hamilton County first.
