Members of the County Commission on Wednesday agreed to experiment with changing their 9:30 a.m. weekly meeting time to 4 p.m. Commissioner Gene-o Shipley said he would be "a team player" and go along with the experiment, but he said 4 o'clock "is a weird time. He noted that many other counties in the state start their meetings at 5 p.m.Commissioner Warren Mackey was also "reluctant." Commissioner Steve Highlander said the new time would make it more difficult for people to get to Wednesday night church. The commission meets four times a month - twice as often as commissions in Nashville and Memphis.
