Chattanooga Volkswagen will be the first corporate partner of the new Franklin-Roberts Future Ready Academy, officials announced on Thursday morning at the Golden Gateway site at the foot of Cameron Hill. The UTC Engineering Department will also be partnering to aid Franklin-Roberts students. The Franklin-Roberts Future Ready Center is expected to serve students at The Howard School, Signal Mountain Middle High, Red Bank High, Lookout Valley Middle High, Brainerd High, East Ridge, and Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences. “I’m grateful and excited to have Volkswagen on board as our official first partner for Franklin-Roberts,” said Dr. Robertson. The school is named for former City Education Commissioner John P. Franklin and former County Executive Dalton Roberts.
