The call was received at 4:10 p.m. for a collapse with unknown injuries at the corner of Market Street and East 3rd Street at the old Sports Barn building which has been undergoing demolition. They canceled all other responding fire companies with the exception of Battalion 1 Green and the Special Operations Division. Chattanooga building inspectors were requested to respond to the scene. All work was stopped until the building inspector conducted a survey of the collapsed portion of the building.
