Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has pledged the Somali community’s support for President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 general election. Junet said some leaders feel uneasy about the President’s close ties with the Somali community, but he urged Ruto to ignore such criticism. He praised the Somali community for its strength and significant contribution to Kenya’s economic growth. Junet also defended the Somali community against critics questioning its growing political influence, stressing that the community remains committed to national progress.
