According to Fightful’s report, Andrade’s exit had been “in the works.” His planned departure also impacted the creative direction for WWE Clash in Paris, where he and Rey Fenix were rumored to be teaming to take on the Wyatt Sicks. This came on the heels of leaving All Elite Wrestling, where he had a less-than-stellar run and exit from the company. According to Fightful’s report, AEW was under the impression that he was going to sign an extension, but then informed them that he wouldn’t, which impacted creative plans at the time. It was unfortunate to see him rarely used in an effective manner during this run in WWE.
