Northern Lights return for dazzling display over Norfolk

Local photographer and skygazer Simon Luckman saw the pink and orange hues of the aurora borealis dancing above Winterton on Sea on Monday evening.
This image was captured at Winterton on Sea(Image: Simon Luckman)It peaked between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.
The Northern Lights are visible when charged particles collide with gases in the Earth’s atmosphere around the magnetic poles.

People this far south can typically only see the Northern Lights through a camera lens.
