It comes after an incident in Potters Field at about 7.30am on Sunday when a man reportedly threatened his neighbour with a loaded crossbow. The suspect then locked himself inside the property and refused to leave, which marked the beginning of a 17-hour-long standoff with police. Amed officers, a dog unit and a drone unit all attended the scene. A cordon was put in place while specialist negotiators spoke with the man, who was eventually arrested by armed officers just before 1.30am on Monday. Darren Mahoney, 53, of Potters Field in Gorleston, has been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
