Darren Mahoney, 53, was at Norwich Magistrates’ Court this afternoon following an incident at his home in Potters Field, Gorleston, in which it is said he threatened his neighbour with a loaded crossbow. The court heard Mahoney cocked and aimed the crossbow at his neighbour, who then ducked and told his wife to call the police. Jonathan Perkins, representing Mahoney, said his client used the crossbow to shoot rats in his garden and “lived a solitary life”.
