It consumes all of my time and energy and I’m trying to figure out a plan to get out. That said, the only thing I hate more than owning and operating my business is TALKING about the business I own and operate. I’ve thought about responding to work questions by telling people my rates, but I think that might fall into the “asshole” category I’m trying to avoid. One of the things people generally make small talk about—besides the weather and their kids and/or pets—is work. I have a professional obligation coming up this week where I will have to be at a seated dinner with people I don’t know and frankly, I’ve been dreading it since I RSVP’d!
