Finavia has done long-term work to develop Helsinki Airport into the best airport in Europe, representing Finland. A piece of Finnish forest landscape will be built at the heart of the new commercial area, inviting visitors to explore before their flight departs. The forest is surrounded by the new commercial premises and a café, with products and services that enrich the offering in the gate area" says Nora Immonen, Finavia’s Director of Commercial Services for Helsinki Airport. The five new operators in the area will form a clear and interesting commercial selection around the forest theme. Helsinki Airport has been chosen as the Commercial Space of the Year in the 2025 NCSC Awards Finland competition.
