Starting this month, Borealis deploys solar canopies with a total capacity of 3.3 MWp on the parking lots of its Belgian manufacturing sites in Kallo and Beringen. The solar canopies were installed by ENGIE Sun4Business, the subsidiary of energy utility ENGIE that offers solar power as a service to businesses in Belgium and the Netherlands. After a competitive sourcing exercise, Borealis selected ENGIE Sun4Business as preferred partner for constructing the solar canopies. ENGIE Sun4Business designed, built, and financed the project and will operate and maintain the system under a solar power as a service model. “This solar installation project represents a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainability and renewable energy.
