UNITED NATIONS — Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew, participated in the opening of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, representing the nation’s interests on the global stage. Prime Minister Drew, who arrived in New York with a delegation of key ministers, announced he will deliver the nation’s National Statement on Saturday, Sept. 27. The address is expected to highlight the concerns of Kittitians and Nevisians amid growing climate challenges facing small island nations. During his time at the United Nations, Prime Minister Drew is scheduled to attend several high-level dialogues and bilateral meetings with heads of state, development partners, and leaders of multilateral institutions.
