Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Surrey, Bagshot Park is a grand royal residence with a rich history dating back to the 17th century. Over the centuries, the property evolved through several renovations and expansions, with the present mansion being largely rebuilt in the late 19th century for Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught (Queen Victoria’s third son) and his wife, Princess Louise Margaret. Edward and Sophie moved into Bagshot Park following their wedding in 1999, leasing it for 100 years, and have since made it their family home, where they live with their two children: Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex.
