NAPLES, N.Y. — A Naples Central School staff member who was placed on leave following social-media remarks made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk has resigned. District Superintendent Kevin Swartz announced the staff member’s resignation in a message to the community Tuesday, posted on the district website. “I am writing to provide an update regarding the disruption to the Naples Central School District community over the past few weeks. As of today, the staff member in question has resigned from the school district, and we consider the matter resolved. The Hilton district say sit addressed the issue with a staff member, while the Greece Central School District said an employee is facing “appropriate disciplinary action.” A Le Roy teacher was placed on leave for remarks.
