*The Agency has withdrawn all assigned personnel from RIA to investigate reported wrongdoingBy: Kruah ThompsonMonrovia, September 23, 2025: In a move that has raised eyebrows, the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has suspended all operations at Roberts International Airport (RIA) and withdrawn its entire team of officers, following concerns over alleged misconduct.
“Let me be clear: The LDEA will not tolerate any acts of corruption, negligence, or actions that undermine the integrity of this agency,” he said.
Both are currently in LDEA custody, undergoing a thorough investigation.
Nationwide, the national front, the OIC, outlined that the LDEA continues to make strategic arrests and confiscations across the country as part of its ongoing operations.
This includes a comprehensive review of internal protocols and procedures to ensure the LDEA becomes more professional, transparent, and accountable.
