Mr. Weah, who was narrowly defeated in the last presidential election, has always kept President Boakai’s heels on fire, amidst poor governance and the bad economic shape of the country. Addressing journalists at the RIA, Weah signaled that he is back and ready to sustain the political fight for his return to power. This is not necessary, and we need to be civil, and we need peace in this country,” Mr. Weah reemphasized. Briefly, CDC Chairman Janga Kowo welcomed Mr. Weah home, noting that the political leader’s return has generated enthusiasm not only among his supporters but also among Liberians in general.
