Aggregate nominal GDP stood at ₦100.73 trillion, reflecting a 19.23 per cent increase from ₦84.48 trillion in Q2 2024. The growth marks an improvement over the 3.48 per cent posted in the same period of 2024, buoyed by a rebound in oil production and stronger industrial output. Industry contributed 17.31 per cent to aggregate GDP, up from 16.79 per cent in the same quarter of 2024. The NBS said the oil sector recorded a sharp recovery, expanding by 20.46 per cent year-on-year compared to 10.08 per cent in Q2 2024. Oil contributed 4.05 per cent to real GDP in the quarter, up from 3.51 per cent in Q2 2024.
