It is estimated that the recent Gen-Z movement has caused damage worth approximately Rs 80 billion to the private sector. Today, representatives from the private sector informed Prime Minister Sushila Karki during a meeting that a preliminary assessment indicates losses amounting to around Rs 80 billion in the private sector. President Dhakal also urged the formation of a continuous dialogue mechanism between the private sector and the government to restore the economy and ensure good governance, and to create an environment where entrepreneurs can conduct business openly and with confidence. Due to the infiltration during the youth-led movement, the private sector has suffered significant damage to life and property, and thus, demands that the culprits be brought to justice. The private sector representatives warned the government during the discussion that failure to take action would lead to a state of impunity, further discouraging private investment.
