The government has changed the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). On the recommendation of Minister of Energy, Kulman Ghising, the Cabinet has appointed Manoj Silwal as the new Manaing Director of the Authority, while Hitendra Dev Shakya has been transferred to the Water and Energy Commission. The cabinet meeting appointed Manoj Silwal to the post of MD by transferring the current MD Hitendra Dev Shakya, to the Water and Energy Commission. To implement that decision, he removed Shakya and appointed Silwal as his close ally. Before being appointed as Minister, Kulman had already received consent from Prime Minister Sushila Karki to replace the Executive Director of the Authority.
