During Nepal's recent political turmoil, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was quick to offer assistance to restore order in the country. PM Karki and PM Modi recently had a telephone conversation to discuss strengthening relations between Nepal and India. During a phone call, Nepal's Prime Minister Karki wished Modi a happy birthday and Modi congratulated her on being Nepal's first female Prime Minister, calling it a historic moment.
