President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, scheduled for 31 August – 1 September 2025, in Tianjin, northern China. This was reported by Xinhua, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. The summit, hosted by China for the fifth time, is set to be the most significant in the SCO’s history. Key agenda items include reviewing the SCO’s achievements, developing a roadmap for the organization’s growth over the next decade, and strengthening cooperation in security, economy, and culture. China hopes the Tianjin Summit will enable SCO member states to achieve political consensus, deepen cooperation, and formulate a unified stance to address global challenges.
