C&S Wholesale Grocers has finalized its acquisition of SpartanNash Company. Eric Winn, Chief Executive Officer of C&S, said the integration of the two companies will provide a broader platform for operations and service across the retail and wholesale grocery sector. Rick Cohen, Executive Chairman of C&S, noted the company aims to position itself for future growth through the combination. Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP acted as legal advisor to C&S, with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP providing counsel on debt financing. BofA Securities, Inc. served as the exclusive financial advisor to SpartanNash, and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP acted as its legal advisor.
