The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has proposed expanding the program "Granting Grants for the Creation or Development of Business" to include support for building vegetable storehouses. The plan foresees annual spending of UAH200 million (US$4.9 million). The volume of insufficient capacities of vegetable storehouses exceeds 340 thousand tons." Expert estimates indicate that vegetable production in Ukraine, specifically the soup set crops of potatoes, cabbage, onions, carrots, and beets, amounts to about 2.5 to 2.7 million tons. 738 of 2022, extending it to cover grants for the construction of vegetable storehouses.
