SRINAGAR: Chief Minister and National Conference Vice-President Omar Abdullah has approved Rs 377.10 lakh under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for a wide-ranging development package in Ganderbal, with a special focus on healthcare, education, infrastructure and community facilities. Announcing the initiative in a social media post, Omar Abdullah said, “I’ve approved Rs 377.10 lakh under the CDF for Ganderbal to upgrade healthcare, education, roads and community facilities. Local education authorities welcomed the investment in schools, noting that improved infrastructure would contribute to a better learning environment for students. Community leaders in Ganderbal described the package as a “timely intervention” that directly responds to demands raised by residents in recent months. The CDF-funded scheme is part of ongoing efforts to deliver development at the grassroots level and ensure essential services reach people’s doorsteps, officials added.
