After a month of discussion and continuous resolving issues, in January 2024, the project successfully passed the graduation vote and was approved by the Board of Directors during the Board Meeting: Apache OpenDAL officially became a top-level project of the ASF. The donation of OpenDAL did not involve a name change, so most materials and core project members continued to refer to the project as “OpenDAL” after the donation, believing that the fact of the project’s affiliation with ASF would be increasingly reinforced over time and thus did not pay special attention to it.
