Mr Shamuel has his own story to tell. Born in Iraq, his family fled the war in 1989/90 and arrived in Australia as refugees in 1993. They arrived with "nothing" after searching for a country that would take them. The family started a new life in Melbourne before moving to Sydney. Martin was a child at the time.
