Lake County authorities on Tuesday identified a man found dead in his home near Lower Lake and confirmed they are investigating the killing. Sheriff’s deputies found the body of Luis Padilla Pina, 25, on Friday morning after responding to a reported break-in at his home on Highway 29 south of Lower Lake, officials said. The county coroner identified him Tuesday, and the Sheriff’s Office said the death is being investigated as a homicide. Sheriff’s spokesperson Lauren Berlinn said the agency is withholding further details because of the ongoing investigation.
