The International Federation of Audit Bureaux of Certification (IFABC) has announced the election of its President and Secretary at the 31st IFABC General Assembly held in Bucharest, Romania in October 2024. Presentations covered a wide range of topics, including initiatives such as trust.txt and the Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI), the IAB EU’s work in sustainability and retail media, FIPP’s report on global trends in magazines, developments in audit approaches, and new EU legislation including the European Media Freedom Act. Simon Redlich, CEO OF ABC UK, stepped down having served as IFABC President for four years; as did Tom Drouillard of the Alliance for Audited Media who had served three terms as Honorary Secretary.
