South Africans are getting free entry to national parks this week: Key highlights

The 20th annual South African National Parks Week started on Monday, 22 September and will run until Sunday, 28 September 2025, during which South African citizens will get free access to various national parks across the country.
SANParks announced the dates last week, noting that the major attractions are Golden Gate Highlands, Marakele, and Mapungubwe National Parks and World Heritage Site.
Some of the highlights to look out for include:Golden Gate Highlands National Park (21 to 28 September)Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretive Centre from 08:00 to 15:15.
