Indeed, the game is storing all the medals for your profile - it just so happens that Halo Waypoint doesn’t quite know about the missing medals yet. OK, so it appears that the medals are not in the metadata API endpoint, but I see that other unofficial online resources that show my Spartan record show the medals. With OpenSpartan I’ve made the explicit decision to map one-to-one to the API - that is, you will only see medals there that are exposed through the medal metadata endpoint and its associated spritesheets.
