One of the oldest bi organisations in the world is celebrating its fortieth birthday – on 21 September. They say: “For 40 years, the Bisexual Resource Center has been building bi+ community, challenging erasure, and shouting from the margins that we’ve always been here. “Join us for a joyful, affirming, intergenerational outdoor celebration of bi+ identity and four decades of the Bisexual Resource Center (BRC).”Originally started in 1985 as the East Coast Bisexual Network, the organisation incorporated in 1989 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit – an American charity. It changed its name to the Bisexual Resource Center in the mid-nineties. Since its inception, the Boston based Bisexual Resource Center has been creating resources, providing support, and helping to create a stronger sense of community for bi/pan/fluid people across the U.S.
