Thousands of Palestinians are continuing to flee Israel's assault on Gaza City, which has continued despite international calls for a ceasefire and a recognition of the State of Palestine by several Western nations. The Israeli military estimates that around 550,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced by the offensive on Gaza City, with aid agencies warning of overcrowding in areas south of Gaza where they have been displaced to. Israel's attacks have killed at least 15 Palestinians since dawn, according to Al Jazeera, citing medical sources, with 12 of those being killed in Gaza City. Arab states have welcomed the decision by the UK, Canada, and Australia to recognise a Palestinian state, with Qatar and Saudi Arabia advocating for more countries to join in recognition, as France prepares to make a similar announcement. The Palestinian Authority's mission to the UK also welcomed the decision, with Ambassador Husam Zomlot calling for action to stop Israel's war on Gaza.
